Just outside Montepulciano, in the valley just below the historic center, 48-hectare wine estate. The property is made up of four buildings (totaling 4,063 m² – 43,717 ft²) including the modern wine cellar, equipped with cutting-edge machinery, a tasting room and seven bedrooms for those guests looking for a stay amidst the vineyards of Montepulciano.

The vineyards (over half of which is registered as Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG) allow producing each year roughly 200,000 bottles of wine.

Buildings have all been restored in the 1990s, preserving the rustic look of the country houses and installing modern systems and comforts typical of the 21st century.

The estate covers a total surface of 48.4669 hectares. Of these, the majority are covered in vineyards (31.0865 ha), registered as Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG (16.5053 ha), Rosso di Montepulciano DOC (3.2567 ha) and Toscana IGT (11.3245 ha). The remaining surface is made up of arable land (13.2987 ha) and also includes an olive grove (4.0817 ha with 2,172 trees in total) producing excellent extra-virgin Terre di Siena DOP olive oil (up to 16,290 kg per year).

Since 2017, the farm has been working with organic-only methods and sports an official organic certification. The wines currently produced are the following:

  • Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG: 100% Sangiovese
  • Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG: Sangiovese 95%, Merlot 3%, Cabernet Sauvignon 2%
  • Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG: Sangiovese 90%, Merlot 5%, Cabernet Sauvignon 5%
  • Rosso di Montepulciano DOC: Sangiovese 80%, Merlot 20%
  • SuperTuscan IGT: Sangiovese 50%, Merlot 50%
  • Toscana Bianco IGT: Sauvignon Blanc 30%, Malvasia 20%, Riesling 20%, Traminer 15%, Petit Manseng 15%
  • Toscana Bianco IGT “Muffato”: Malvasia 25%, Riesling 25%, Traminer 25%, Petit Manseng 25%

The Montepulciano area has always been suited to wine production. Emanuele Repetti cites two documents as proof of this fact: the first, dated 789, mentions vineyards near the Policiano Castle; the second, dated 1350, establishes rules to be respected for the export of wine produced in Montepulciano.
The tradition is therefore thousands of years old and the wines of the area still enjoy great fame today. Produced from Sangiovese grapes, in full respect of the Tuscan tradition, Nobile and Rosso di Montepulciano are the two unique appellations that the Montepulciano area can offer (the former aged, the latter younger and less complex).

Services are all available in the town, whose historic center is just 4 km away. From Montepulciano one can then reach the most famous cities of Tuscany in less than two hours by car (Pienza, Montalcino, Cortona, Siena, San Gimignano, Florence…).
