Piemonte DOC is a controlled appellation of origin reserved for a wide range of wines produced in the Piedmont region in northwestern Italy. The production area covers the entire wine-growing territory of many municipalities in the provinces of Alessandria, Asti, Biella, Cuneo, Novara, Turin, Vercelli and Verbano-Cusio-Ossola. The DOC was established in 1994.

The Piedmont DOC regulations are very flexible and allow the production of many types of wine: white, red, rosé, sparkling, and passito wines. The authorized grapes are numerous, including native and international varieties: among the whites we find, for example, Cortese, Chardonnay, Moscato Bianco, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Favorita/Vergnetina; for the reds, varieties such as Barbera, Dolcetto, Freisa, Nebbiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Noir, and many others.

Piedmont DOC wines are distinguished by their wide variety of styles: whites are straw-colored; fresh, floral or fruity aromas; and flavors ranging from dry to amabile, sometimes with a slight liveliness. Reds and rosés can offer aromas of fruit, spice, more or less structure depending on the grape variety and winemaking method, and are sometimes also produced in sparkling or spumante versions.

The Piedmont DOC appellation plays a key role in enhancing the region’s wine production: it allows wines from areas not delimited by more restrictive DOCs or wines that, although from DOC/DOCG areas, represent quantities in excess of the production of the specific appellations to be brought together under a single label.

Monferrato Wine Estate

Ground floor: large and bright tasting room with fireplace, exposed beams and views of the vineyards, relaxation area also with fireplace and large windows that allow full enjoyment of the magnificent panorama, commercial area, kitchen, two offices, three toilets with hallway and three additional rooms. The level is completed by a storage room, a warehouse/tool store, a storage room and a porch.
First floor: archive.

The manor house (640 m² – 6,886 ft², 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms) is on four levels and is embellished with a panoramic tower overlooking the Crea Sanctuary and the valley. The villa is perfectly suited both as a private residence and as a high-end accommodation facility and is currently divided into three independent guest apartments:
