The estate covers, in its entirety, about 5.6 ha (13.8 ac) of land. Almost all of the estate is covered by vineyards (4.0 ha), while the remaining area is divided between the garden (5,700 m²) and small portions of arable land on the edge of the fields. Inside the garden, on the north side of the property, is the panoramic 15 × 8 m Infinity pool overlooking the rolling hills of the Val d'Orcia.

The farmhouse is surrounded by a 5,700 m² garden with an Infinity-edge 15 × 8 m panoramic swimming pool overlooking the rolling hills of Val d’Orcia.

The vineyards, specifically, are registered as Brunello di Montalcino DOCG (2.9500 ha), Rosso di Montalcino DOC (0.9500 ha) and Toscana IGT (0.1163 ha).

The estate currently produces the following wines:

  • Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva: 1,500 bottles (Sangiovese 100%)
  • Brunello di Montalcino DOCG: 14,000 bottles (Sangiovese 100%)
  • Rosso di Montalcino DOC: 7,000 bottles (Sangiovese 100%)

The wine cellar (550 m² – 5,918 ft², 1 bathroom) is organized into two separate areas. The first one is located inside the main farmhouse dating back to the 14th century and includes the winemaking areas and the barrique rooms for ageing. The second section is built underground, with its own access from the lower terrace of the property and includes a spacious storage area for the finished products and the bottling line with bathroom and changing room for the staff.

Leaned against the wine cellar, on the western side of the building, is a convenient shed (78 m² – 839 ft²) that is currently used to shelter vehicles and tools.

The owner’s house (320 m² – 3,443 ft², 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms) covers two floors and is located again inside the old farmhouse, right next to the cellar and connected directly to it. On the lower floor are the entrance room (shared with the cellar), a spacious living room with fireplace, the dining area with open-plan kitchen and bedroom with its own bathroom (also accessible independently from outside). The staircase in the entrance leads to the upper floor, where one can find a spacious sitting room, four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

In front of the main building is a guesthouse (130 m² – 1,399 ft², 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms) that could be rented out either as a single unit or divided into two smaller apartments:

  • Apt. N°1 (70 m²): living room with open-plan kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom;
  • Apt. N°2 (25 m²): studio apartment with cooking corner and bathroom.

Next to the apartments is a small storage (35 m² – 377 ft², 3 bathrooms) with bathroom, plus two smaller bathrooms outside that could be used by both the staff of the winery and the guests in the pool.

The property is then completed by several technical rooms (100 m² – 1,076 ft² in total) that include the water management system, boiler area and storages for tools and equipment.

The area of Montalcino has always been devoted to the production of excellent wines: the Etruscans, over two thousand years ago, already cultivated vines in the area. The perfect exposure of the vineyards ensures a perfect ripening of the grapes and the wine therefore lends itself very well to ageing.

The production area covers the entire municipality (about 24,000 ha) but, despite this, only a small part of this area is actually cultivated with vines (4,000 ha) by about 200 producers.

The area is famous for four wines in particular, all recognised with DOCG and DOC appellations: Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Rosso di Montalcino DOC, Rosso di Sant'Antimo DOC and Moscadello di Montalcino DOC.

Amenities are all available in the two towns of Buonconvento e Montalcino, both less than 10’ away by car. The location of the property, in the hills of Valdorcia, makes it also very easy to visit most of the art cities of Tuscany such as Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena, Volterra and Florence.
